Fattoria San Francesco
Calabria, Italy
Located on the hills of Cirò in Calabria, overlooking the Ionian Sea, Fattoria San Francesco was established in 1998 in the Cirò DOC area, combining family traditions with modern methods. The site is nested in a 16th-century monastery now called Casale San Francesco, serving as the agricultural center. Calcareous soils with coastal influence support Gaglioppo for reds and rosés, and Greco Bianco for whites, processed via cement fermentation and barrel aging. The portfolio includes Cirò Rosso Classico, Cirò Rosato, Cirò Bianco, reserves, IGTs, frizzantes, passitos, spumantes, and grappa. Production emphasizes meticulous vineyard management from pruning to harvest.
